Mike Luciano Drums, percussion "I was born at a very young age in The Bronx. Where I grew up, you either joined a gang, got your butt kicked or, played in a rock in roll band — so at 14, me and Vinnie "bag O' donuts" started a band and playin gigs with just one guitar and me on the drums. That band... "'Twos a Crowd" played so many gigs, that after 3 years I was a full fledged rock star! 35 years later —hundreds of gigs, twenty or so bands and three hearing aids — I'm still glad I joined the band rather than the gang". |
Rick Hilleary Sax, flute and percussion Rick along his family has lived in the valley since 1992; loves to play all types of music and calls himself fortunate to have jammed with hundreds of musicians over the years with sax, flute and percussion. He plays a hybrid saxophone called a C Melody. Size-wise it's closer to an alto but the neck piece looks more like a tenor's, and sounds just right in-between. It was made in 1920 and is a branch of the sax family tree that was pruned by Adolph a couple years later as being redundant. If you looked close there's a tenor reed on an alto mouthpiece to round out the albatross. |
